As the sun was just beginning to paint the night sky a faint shade of grey on the horizon, there was already activity in one of the many apartments in Konoha. Subaku no Temari was already up and about, making preparations for the first mission she would be leading while serving under Konoha. Truth be told, she was just a little nervous as she packed her satchel with extra supplies since it would seem that it would be a longer mission than usual. She really wanted to make a good impression on the Hokage, seeing as she was representing Suna's shinobi force while in Konoha, not just herself. On top of that, she wasn't quite sure who she was taking along on the mission, save that there was only one person, which confused Temari slightly. It's a more delicate situation than most C-Ranks...you'd think there would be a full team. Well, Konoha *is* a bit thin on shinobi right now...but after all, Suna believes in quality over quantity, so this isn't too unusual. Temari would kill to have Gaara and Kankuro there though, seeing as the three made a nigh-perfect team and had yet to fail a mission. The only thing she had done to prep her team mate was to have a messenger nin send them a message that said they were to meet at the village gates at dawn, seeing as time was of the essence, and that getting an early start was standard procedure in Suna due to the day time heat, so Temari was used to starting her missions in such a manner. With that, Temari, who was wearing her purple outfit with her leather vest and red ribbon to hold her fan, she grabbed her signature weapon and holstered it before heading out the door.
Not too long afterwards, she reached the village gate and stood attentively, waiting for her team mate to arrive.

"Why me?"
Hizoku sighed a little bit as he continued on eating to prepare for his day. Today was a little different being that he was to go onto a mission yet he was expected to travel to another village with someone who didn't even know. As he clicked his chop sticks together for the last time after swallowing a heavy portion of ramen he had jumped up from the floor in his room, every other sound was drowned out by the loud music erupting from the speakers in his room. He didn't have to do much preperation due to the fact that he had all of his supplies yesterday. He nodded his head a little bit, identical to the beat coming from his speakers. Hizoku then stood and m ade his way to leave his home. As he exited the door he turned to look and see a small note attached to the wooden window seal of his apartment building.
"What?....More changes?"
Hizoku shook his head some as his golden eyes ran across the paper. As he reached the bottom he crumpled it up and tossed it behind a trash can and had continued on to a different location to the m ain gates of Konohagakure. As he had gotten closer he could see a female standing near the gate. She....Couldn't be, she couldn't have been his partner why would they send a female with him for such a mission? He then re thought to the possibility she could be an extremely powerful Kunoichi? He smirked a little bit as he reached up and lowered the headphones which were placed in his ears to dangle around his neck along with his konoha headband.
"Kyuuzou Hizoku....and you?"

Temari didn't have to wait long until her partner arrived. He didn't appear to be an incompetent ninja, but she would judge that based on how he performed in the first part of their mission. She noticed to smirk, but she kept herself from over-analyzing him for the most part, something that she had to try hard to do since it was ground into her mind so much.
"Kyuuzou Hizoku....and you?"
"Temari of the Sand. I take it you read the mission briefing?" Temari paused for a moment to hear a reply while she made a minute adjustment to her fan. "The situation is a bit more delicate than a usual C-Rank mission, so we need to get moving." Temari sighed. "There was supposed to be another shinobi going with us...but it seems Konoha's forces are spread thin at the moment. We'll just have to do this like Suna does: Do what you can with what you have, and do it well." She turned towards the exit. "Enough of that though. It will take us almost two days to reach the border, so let's go!" With that Temari took to the trees, making sure that Hizoku was following.

Hizoku was lazy in most cases but even though he didn't want to immediately start off for the village he did so anyways. He followed Temari following the rhythm to the song he was listening to coming from the earphones around his neck. He didn't know anything about this girl but he was meant to trust her with his life if it came to it? He had continued following her until more time had passed by. When were they to stop for a break? As he continued he got closer to her and attempted to get her to stop.
"You hungry?"

“From where?!” A bandit shouted at the young girl being interrogated as she sniffed a little, tears rolled down her cheeks as she tried to run free, but the bandits held her in place. She knew they wouldn’t let her go until she broke done completely and told them. Se felt guilty, not wanting to let these villains know where they were getting help from…but what else could she do?
“I-I..I.”
“SPILL IT!!” He shouted, sending his hand to her shoulder and shoving her back against the wall. The young girl sobbed some more, she couldn’t take it…and besides, she hadn’t been the first to reveal information. Soon, two more bandits approached her, all glaring daggers at the young girl.
“Where have you hired shinobi from?!” The group of three men were getting impatient with her, and would most likely strike at any moment. The girl turned her gaze towards the floor, biting her lip to impede her tears.
“F-from…K-Ko-…” She sighed in defeat. “Konoha.”

With their newly acquired information, the team of three had set out towards the village hidden in the leaves, while the other 8 remained in Tanima. They were not ninjas, so travelled on foot; the only one that had even attended the academy was their leader, who was still with the Mayor. The three were quick on their feet, knowing that they couldn’t let any ninjas into the village…
“Over there,” One whispered from their place hidden in the foliage, another with binoculars eyed up two people from afar, one had the Konoha forehead protector, but the other didn’t…that was odd. “Are you sure its them?” The one with binoculars whispered as the other nodded. “Who cares what headband they’ve got, they’re ninjas! And they’re going in the direction of Tanima!”
“Right!” The two nodded, before jumping out of their hiding places, while the other remained hidden. The two smirked at their opponents before drawing out two large, metal polls.
“And where’d you think you’re going, mn?” One asked, twirling the poll around his wrist, as they quickly approached Temari and Hizoku.

Temari was about to answer Hizoku's question, in a bit of a reluctant affirmative, when she sensed something up ahead. Assuming that Hizoku did as well, Temari came to a dead stop on the next thick branch and looked over to see a tell-tale glint of binoculars. Being her usual, confident self, Temari smirked right into the lenses. "Well, it does look like we have to make a quick stop anyway."
She grinned as the three approached. “And where’d you think you’re going, mn?” Temari didn't bother to unsheath her fan. She would give them fair warning. "Trust me, it's not in your best interest to find out." The sun landed just right to glint on her Suna forehead protector and on the casing of the fan. "My companion and I really don't feel like dealing with too much trouble, and it's really inconvienent." To make a statement, Temari quickly pulled out her fan, too fast for any non-shinobi to see, and slammed the end into the ground, creating a small fissure as it indented into the earth. "So it's really in your best interest to put your toys away, gaki."

Hizoku seemed a bit angered by the unwanted guest visable by the light frown which formed upon his face. He turned to Temari and then to the people attempting to stop them. As soon as Temari's fan slammed the ground, a few balls of powder formed between the fingers of his left hand. Were the really going to attempt to harm Hizoku and Temari? They couldn't have seriously thought to kill them even though they were only teenagers. Hizoku waved his hand in an annoyed gesture as if telling them to move.
"Let's play a game called get the hell out of the hungry shinobi's way."
He Dropped from a a thicker tree branch to the ground and had took a step closer to the intruders. Maybe they couldn't hear well?! Hizoku was starting to get a bit angry with the fact that;
1.They were questioning them while they were on an important mission.
2.He was hungry!
He growled alittle bit onder his breath as he had clinched his right fist tightly glaring the two bandits, before he had looked over his shoulder to Temari. If she made the first attack Hizoku could move out of the way and follow up to attack whomever was still standing.
