((I'll delete this post if Terra considers this power-playing, it was an idea I had, but went to bed before I could convey it. Hopefully Terra reads it and either replies or sends me a PM to delete it, sorry if this broke any rules.))
The afternoon sun was bright in the air as two Medical Ninjas waved at another of their co-workers. Though the weather was so warm, the ninjas were forced to wear head-to-toe white clothing that showed they were a part of the hospital nin-squad. As they rounded the gate, a medic-nin sighed. "I really wish whomever is doing this stops leaving them out here like this, it wouldn't kill them to bring 'em inside and check them into a bed." muttered one man while he paced up to the unconscious figure. "Yea, it makes our hospital seem poor and so full that we can't even accomodate in an injured individual." agreed the other.
Leaning against the open gate to the hospital, layed a skinny blonde youth, wearing some form of metalic fabric over her entire body. There was a small amount of caked blood around her lips, and some cuts and bruises that spotted her body. Leaning in, the medics did their healing jutsus on the spot, holding their glowing green hands above her injuries. "This one's pretty lucky, the other one had plenty of crushed bones and had to recover in the hospital bed for 2 whole weeks!" exclaimed one of the medics. The girl was placed on a stretcher and carried to the second floor where she was given her own room to rest in. The medics chatted with one another as they left, "She'll be up pretty soon and ready to leave, so no need to provide her with a meal, just let her sleep."
The girl looked very peaceful laying upon the bed with her face freshly cleaned, and her injuries fully healed. The pale yellow curtains blew gently in the breeze as something dark passed through the open window. It quickly made it's way to the bed, darting directly for the girl's exposed neck.
A small dark lizard curled itself up in the small groove created in the pillow above the girl's shoulder. The curtain ruffled again, turning in the breeze, but this time a figure walked in upside down in through the window. He hung from the roof with his gourd hanging loosely to one side, and his head bent back to observe the sleeping girl. Unfortunately something else caught the red-haired sand-nin's attention, as the lizard began their staring match anew.
Two dangerous pale eyes stared down at a pair of blank unblinking emotionless eyes, as both of them soon lost track of time.

Terra layed there replaying thoughts in her head of the fight. Just remembering the sand so easily knocking away her attacks was enough for her to rest uneasy, but besides that it seemed like he didn't even have to move at all. What type of power could allow someone to be so calm yet so uneasy by his own company.
Terra stiffed up as she felt nails digging into her body. She opened her eyes and looked up to see Zinsta, she than noticed he was in a dead lock staring at something. Terra started to look around curiously. "W-where are we Zinsta?" She noticed she was on a bed with a nice fuzzy white sheet over her. She tilted her head to the side looking to the side as she saw a very familiar face. She than immediately thought. "He must of brought me here after, our fight." She started to smile at him but noticed he was intent on stareing at Zinsta.
"Thank You, for bringing me here, and for the fight" she had assumed that he brought her remembering not seeing anyone else at the training grounds. "I didn't even hit you did I?" she muttered lowly. She starting thinking back to the fight again. "That sand, that sand was able to block all of my attacks." she thought to herself. This guy, I didn't even stand a chance from the beginning, he was toying with me. She clinched her fist as she once again smiled at him.
"He's kind of cute" she thought to herself chuckling. "Whats your name?" she said curiously. Terra leaned over and started petting Zinsta softly on his spine. "This is my buddy Zinsta" She said cheerfully pointing to him. Zinsta finally broke of his stare as started to turn toward Terra. She smiled looking into Zinsta's eyes.

The girl woke slowly opening her eyes to address the lizard, "W-where are we Zinstra?" she said in a groggy voice.
She had slept the day away, as night had fallen outside. Shortly before she had awoken, Gaara had concealed his presence behind a screen when the staff came in to check on her. He had just been about to leave but the thin girl had stirred.
His gaze turned slightly as he watched the girl sit up in her bed, her legs were still covered by the thin hospital sheet. She was beaming brightly at him again, 'What is wrong with this girl?' thought the pale-eyed youth.
"Thank You, for bringing me here... and for the fight." she said happily.
Gaara had forgotten why he had come to visit this girl in the hospital, he usually didn't visit his many victims after putting them there. 'What an optimistic answer after being beaten...' but his eyes narrowed as he thought back to another powerful leaf ninja who had a very similar attitude. He had been about to say that as the Leaf Village was his employer, he wasn't allowed to actually "kill" his opponents, but he was cut off by the girl's next move.
Suddenly the girl's voice deepened, as she lowered her head and muttered, "I didn't even it you did I?" Gaara nodded his head once, as he watched the girl clutch her knees softly. 'Does she feel insignificant right now?' he wondered.
To his surprise, the girl rose her face again with a bright smile. "So, What's your name?" she asked curiously, "This is my buddy Zinsta." as she pointed at her lizard. He thought, 'This one bounces pretty fast.' as the blonde cheerfully began playing with her pet. I guess she had assumed he had known her name from when she had introduced herself earlier, unfortunately Gaara had not been listening at the time. Not that she would know though.
"Sabakuno Gaara. ((Gaara of the Desert))" he replied in a heavy voice that seemed weighed down by the sand he controlled. Something had drawn the sand-nin to this "weakling" laying in the bed. He had for some reason held back in their fight and he now assumed his body had wanted him to come here, and assure what that reason was. Though the room was dark, and most of the hospital already asleep, Gaara could make out a pitcher of water upon the nightstand. He flicked his eyes causing a small mass of sand to push the pitcher and glass to the edge of the tabletop. It came just within reach of the girl, sitting up in her bed. He nodded at the clear glass pitcher, as if to point it out to her.
He waited a moment before saying something, "Your doujutsu (Eye Jutsu)... it's from an advanced bloodline." This statement came out as matter of factly, as Gaara had failed to articulate his curiosity in what it's abilities had been.

"hm, well thank you once gain Gaara-san" She quietly said. she couldn't help but stare at him in awe. "Did he wait until I awoke?" she wondering as she started to blush slightly. Zinsta was now starting to grow calm, which showed Terra that the tension was dieing down between Zinsta and Gaara. She gasped lightly as she noticed Gaara eyes move a bit show she couldn't help but look around abit. She than fixed her eyes upon the Pitcher and Glass slowly making its way to the edge of the table. "His sand is sliding it toward me!" she thought to herself as she grew a deep red blushing uncontrollably. She than grabbed the glass and filled it up half way.
"Your doujutsu... it's from an advanced bloodline"
"yes, its from the Junoki clan; although there is only on member left" she said slowly. "Its not that great, nothing compared to your ability to control sand. Two different chakra patterns it was amazing to see you in action. I just hope I didn't waste too much of your time." She said beaming a big smile and started to chuckle abit. She now drank a bit of the water which felt great considering she hadn't had anything to drink for a while.
"Would you like some water Gaara-san?" she asked politely as she held out her glass with was freshly refilled. She immediately knew what she had just done offering someone her glass. "IDIOT, what were you thinking" she screamed at herself as she help a smile threw the moment. .

The girl seemed uncomfortable, as Gaara saw her squirming in her bed. Her cheeks had turned a light pink though Gaara would've been one of the few to catch that as his eyes were almost always adjusted to the dark. Gaara was used to people squirming in front of him in fear, he wondered silently if the girl had trouble breathing because of her reddening face.
She replied to his question while holding the glass of water to her lips, slightly angled down to prevent herself from spluttering. This created a small change in her voice as it reverbed into the cup as she answered, "Yes! It's from the Junoki clan." her voice slowed as she continued, "Although there is only one member left..."
Gaara's eyes narrowed, this story was becoming all to familiar to him now with all the tragedies he had met thus far. "It's not that great, nothing compared to your ability to control sand." she mused, "Two different chakra patterns it was amazing to see you in action. I just hope I didn't waste too much of your time." The two chakra types was his own and that of the Jinchuuriki, Shukaku, a demon sealed within his body. Gaara hadn't known that any ability could actually see the different presences within him. Lucky for the short-tempered red head who didn't want to explain, the girl seemed clueless to why he had his unique trait, nor curious to know why. She chortled into her cup as she took another sip, Gaara stared out the window wondering why he was still talking to her.
Suddenly a full glass of water was thrust infront of his face, the girl gave him another beaming smile as she asked, "Would you like some water Gaara-san?" Her smile suddenly triggered a sharp stab of pain in forehead, 'why was she smiling at him like that?' he thought. His eyes became bloodshot as they widened slightly, a sign that his self-control was beginning to leave him.
The glass in Terra's hand suddenly shattered as a smal wisp of sand seemed to explode out from it. Through the soft clinking of glass upon the tile floor, Gaara stature bent slightly forwards. Suddenly his right fist rose up to his own face and collided with a thin layer of sand that blocked even Gaara's own punch. With a shudder the sand-nin seemed to shake off his small "fit."
The sand, rustling along the tile floor, created a swishing sound as it returned to the large gourd on his back. The room was all but silent, as the hospital staff had seemed not to have heard the commotion at all. The tired voice that pierced through the dark room, did not seem like the cold heartless Gaara at all, as he muttered something.

Terra got up from the bed worried why Gaara was grasping his head. "Are you ok Gaara-san" she looked up walking toward him. Suddenly the glass broke in her had causing two gashes on he palm and on her index finger. She squinted as she looked up she noticed he started to bend forward a bit she reached out to catch him. By the time she had gotten there he had already caught him self. "H-hey wha-what are you doing?"
She was confused by him hitting himself slightly on the head. "Gaara-sa..." she was interrupted
"...S-Sorry."
She looked down at her hand slightly feeling the sting of the cuts, as she looked up she remembered the incident at the ramen shop. "Don't worry about it, everyone has their days. I can get you another glass if you want." She said looking around for another glass. Terra spots one over on a same table and she rushes to grab it and return to a shaken Gaara. She rose her hand blushing slightly. 'Why, why can't I control it, what is it about him' she thought to herself as she held the glass out once again trying to hold a smile without laughing.

"Don't worry about it, everyone has their days. I can get you another glass if you want." she said calmly, picking up and filling yet another glass for him.
Gaara's eyes narrowed as he watched her face closely, the slightly red faced kunoichi seemed to be avoiding his eyes. Yet this girl, who had lost her entire clan, as well as her family... was still smiling kindly at him offering him a cup of water. Eying the tempting glass momentarily, Gaara felt a touch of dryness in his throat as he almost reached for it.
But for some reason he couldn't, his hand didn't rise from his side as he gazed back at the girl's features. He wasn't one to look at girls so intently without the glint of anger in his eyes, yet this one was "peculiar." She wasn't exactly what he would've considered beautiful, her uncombed hair slightly ruffled by laying on the starchy hospital pillows. Her eyes sported bags, not nearly as bad as his, but still clearly visible. Though she still wore her own clothes, there was tiny tears and specs of dirt clinging to them from their previous battle. He didn't feel any sort of longing towards this unpresentable 'weakling' yet he had drawn to her here purely by curiosity.
He then realized what had caught his eyes and stopped him, the girl's hand. It was bleeding openly from the palm and finger, not a sight that disgusted the sand-nin... but one that did remind him of "physical pain." The first time he had felt "physical pain" had been during the recent Chuunin exams, three seperate times to be exact. His eyes fell upon his own arms, where the numerous bruises had already healed and disappiated. 'If only it was so easy.' he thought.
His hand still refused to take the glass, affirming to Gaara that he was not ready to socialize so candidly yet. He at least made an attempt at the blonde girl, though he still didn't recall her name. He forced his cheek muscles back with effort, causing his lips to crinkle slightly upwards. After flashing such an unnatural smile, he gathered chakra to his body, dissappearing in a spray of sand that drifted out the window.

"what a weird guy" she said as he was slowly faded out the window.
Terra then started thinking about the strange smile. Thats all she could picture as she layed down on the bed putting the glass on the counter next to her. As she drifted to sleep that image of him smiling for the first time the whole day stuck with her as she drifted to sleep.
"Gaara-san" she said calmly in her sleep. "Gaara"
(sorry for this really really short reply I am going on vacation. and your post is a kind of hard thing to reply to lol )
